AES : HOW IS EFFECTIVE?
In order for the general Malaysian public to accept the implementation of AES, we had to develop the best system available – one that has been proven in all developed nations and has been around for more than half a century.

Our partners, Jenoptik AG, first used automated safety cameras in 1955. They are the world’s leading manufacturers of safety cameras that has been tried and tested all around the world. In United Kingdom, within 4 years of implementing AES, the country saw a 42% decrease in road deaths and serious injuries.
In countries like Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands, AES has helped lower the risk of road deaths by more than six times since 1970. Over the past decade, there was in fact a 50% decrease in the risk of road deaths in about half the countries recorded.

Statistics in 2010 prove that Malaysians have the highest likelihood of being killed in road accidents. Malaysia’s figures are almost double the amount compared to Cambodia; the second highest-scoring country based on our research. Therefore, the implementation of AES is most crucial in preventing drivers from continuing to risk their lives while it also helps save innocent lives along the way.
System of progress
JPJ would require an operational management system to accommodate all the real-time data. Although, AES is governed and controlled by JPJ, ATES provides JPJ with an outsourced managed service which will enable JPJ to detect, transmit, process, issue, collect and enforce summons in courts. These processes are done meticulously which is why most developed countries outsource theses services.

ATES creates value in the whole evidence chain management and also manages life cycles of each summons. This ensures unbiased prosecution, proper management of delivered and undelivered summonses that will not be lost even over long periods of time.
